Beni, des manifestants contre l’insécurité détruisent le monument du Président de la République Joseph Kabila

(English version down this french one) Cela c’est après une tuerie, samedi 01 novembre 2014, de 11 personnes dans le Quartier Boikene, en Commune de Rwenzori. Les assaillants sont des hommes armés identifiés comme ADF. Selon les survivants, les assaillants sont venus au tour de 2O heures locales. Ils ont commencé à tiré dans toutes les directions, avant de se réitérer de nouveau dans la nature

Le Maire de Beni, Jean Edmond Masumbuko Nyonyi a déclaré à la presse ce dimanche matin que ces hommes armés sont venus du coté de Mayangose, un vaste domaine forestier qui donne sur le Parc National des Virunga, une zone difficile de contrôle. Parmi les 11 victimes, figurent deux militaires des FARDC, informent des sources officielles. Tous les autres sont des civils, dont un chauffeur de taxi atteint par balles alors qu’il rentrait à domicile. « C’est à la suite de ces assassinats que la population est descendue dans les rues ce dimanche », témoigne Gilbert Kambale, Président des Forces Vives en Ville de Beni. Il indique que les manifestants s’en sont pris à la Mairie de Beni et à la résidence officielle du Maire, d’où ils ont été chassés par les forces de l’ordre. Mais comme si cela ne suffisait pas, ces manifestants, portants des croix et scandant des chansons hostiles au pouvoir en place, ont détruit le monument de Joseph Kabila Kabange, Président de la République Démocratique du Congo. Les manifestants disaient ne pas avoir vu un engagement clair des autorités à résoudre la question épineuse de l’insécurité en Ville et Territoire de Beni. Notons que ces victimes ont été mises en terre par leurs familiers respectifs, contrairement aux précédentes victimes pour les quelles l’Etat avait organisé des funérailles publiques.

Des assaillants crachent sur le discours de Joseph Kabila

Ces récents massacres interviennent alors que Joseph Kabila venait de s’envoler de Beni vers Kinshasa, Beni où il est arrivé pour réconforter la population et rassurer des mesures sécuritaires prises pour combattre les ADF, ces rebelles ougandais à qui sont attribuées les tueries à répétition dans la zone. Dan son adresse à la population de Beni, vendredi 31 novembre, Joseph Kabila, face aux multiples accusations que la population porte contre les autorités, d’être complices des massacres, avait répondu, qu’il y a un ennemi de la RDC et qu’il est connu, c’est l’ADF. Il ne faut pas faire la diversion et plonger dans la confusion, avait interpellé Joseph Kabila, avant de rassurer que « la RDC vaincre les ADF ». Depuis le début de ce mois d’octobre 2014, plus de 100 personnes ont été massacrées par des hommes armés identifiés comme ADF, mais cette version est contestée par plusieurs organisations de la société civile dont le GADHOP qui dénoncent un complot d’extermination d’un peuple. Jusque là les mesures prises par les autorités donnent peu de résultats. En ville de Beni, finalement des sources sécuritaires annoncent un couvre feu qui ira de la soirée au petit matin en Ville de Beni.

The Mayor of Beni, Jean Edmond Masumbuko Nyonyi declared at the press this Sunday morning that these armed men came from the Mayangose corner, a vast forest domain that gives on the National Park of the Virunga, a zone difficult of control. Among the 11 victims, there are two soldieries of the FARDC some official sources inform. All others are civilians, of which a taxi driver reached by bullets whereas he was going back home. He indicates that demonstrators attacked the Town hall of Beni and the Mayor's official residence, from where they have been hunted by polices. But as if it was not sufficient, these demonstrators, structural of crosses and chanting songs in hostile to the government, destroyed the monument of Joseph Kabila Kabange, President of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Demonstrators told, to have not seen a clear engagement of authorities to solving the spiny question of the insecurity in City and Territory of Beni. Let's note that these victims have been put in earth by their respective familiar, contrary to the previous victims for whom, some public funeral ceremony the state had organized. 

Attackers spit on the speech of Joseph Kabila

Since the beginning of this month of October 2014, more than 100 people have been slaughtered by the armed men identified like ADF, but this version is contested by several organizations of the civilian society of which the GADHOP that denounces a plot of extermination of a people. Until there, measures taken by authorities give few results. In city of Beni, finally security sources announce a covers fire that will go from the hours of the evening to City of Blessed.
