Troubles took place after a civilian's murder by a soldier of FARDC military police Thursday 24th July 2014. This soldier also wounded his comrade-in-arms during a dispute around a case of arrest of a civilian at the military Justice Office of Kanyabayonga.

Our sources there at Kanyabayonga informed that the victim is named Achille BUYINGO, a stone breaker as profession and aged about 30 years old. He had just been hailed at the military justice office by the judicial inspector but before his death the civilian hadn’t been yet informed about the reason of his questioning, an independent source informed. Achille BUYINGO has been killed whereas the two military policemen of the FARDC, Military Justice Office of Kanyabayonga had hired a dispute. One of the two soldiers required that the civilian should be put in the prison and the other opposed himself of it, because the civilian was only a simple informer in a case that was in instruction at the military justice office of Kanyabayonga. Some minutes after, the tone went up between the two soldiers and one among them, the Sergeant BONGA EBENZE killed the civilian who died immediately. Then the same soldier fired on his weapon mate, the adjutant Romance MAKELELE, which sustained that the civilian shouldn’t be jailed for a reason that is not clarified yet. Let's note that after this act the killer has been put to stops at the military justice office of Kanyabayonga. But this situation provoked a generalized panic in the city, civilians wanting to get to their tower the killer's death.
